McLean Community Center Governing Board Starts Planning for FY2018 by Asking Residents for Their Input on Programs
Public Hearing on Programs is Wednesday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m.
03/10/16, McLean, VA—McLean Community Center’s 11-member Governing Board is inviting residents of the Center’s special tax district, Small District 1A-Dranesville, to share their thoughts on Center programs and services at a Public Hearing on Programs to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. The regular monthly meeting of the Governing Board will follow the hearing. These meetings were originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 23. All meetings of the board are open to the public. The Center is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
Residents of the Center’s tax district who attend the meeting can voice their opinions on current Center offerings and make suggestions for improving current programs or adding new initiatives. The hearing is one step in planning for the FY 2018 budget cycle, which begins July 1, 2017. The Center is home to the Robert Ames Alden Theatre. A satellite program, The Old Firehouse Teen Center, is located at 1440 Chain Bridge Road. FY 2018 programs may be offsite, as the Center’s main facility is scheduled to be renovated during that budget year.
Residents who would like to speak at the hearing may call the Center at 703-790-0123, TTY: 711, to have their names placed on the speakers’ list so that a schedule may be established. Residents may submit written comments by mail, fax (703-556-0547), email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or in person up to seven days after the hearing.
