Middle School Friday Night Dances
Each Friday night, the OFTC staff supervises the Friday Night Dance for middle school students. Only 7th- and 8th-grade students can attend. During the dance, teens can shoot pool, play ping-pong or foosball, chat with their friends in our snack bar area, and dance on the OFTC dance floor as the DJ plays new Billboard hits and some oldies but goodies too. Each dance will have a theme and OFTC staffers encourage students to dress for, or in some other way, participate in the themes. The staff will award a prize to the teen or teens that best represent the theme.
The OFTC maintains an appropriate staff-to-teen ratio, and the staff closely supervises the teens during the entire dance. Teens must dress appropriately and in accordance with the Fairfax County Public Schools’ Dress Code. Teens can try out an OFTC Friday Night Dance before deciding to become a member for a $10 fee. After that, he or she must become an OFTC member ($30/$25 McLean district residents) to attend subsequent dances.
Important Notice to Parents:
