Food Trucks Drive International Flavors into Lewinsville Park for McLean Day

 

McLean, VA—Freshly made Indian, French and American food will be just a few of the options available at McLean Day 2017. Risksha Streetside Indian, a new food truck by the same team that created the successful restaurants Crepe Amour, Tamarind and Amma Vegetarian Kitchen, as well as the Crepe Love food truck, will make its debut this year. It will join returning favorites, The Big Cheese, Oasis Concessions, McLean Rotary and Red Hook Lobster Pound. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, at Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Rd. McLean Day is produced by the McLean Community Center; admission is free.

Chicken, Chicken & Egg or Mixed Vegetable Kati Rolls, Chicken or Vegetable Curry with Basmati Rice, Bread, Salad, Chicken Makhani (Butter), Mixed Vegetable Korma, Chicken Biriani, Cucumber Raita, Lemon Pickle.

High-Quality Hot Dogs, Pizza, Chips, Soda, Water.

The Big Cheese

 

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, including Goat Cheese Summer Tomato with Balsamic Drizzle, Cheese and Apple, Kids’, and Watermelon-Feta Salad, Potato Chips, Gazpacho, Iced Tea, Lemonade, Water.

 

The festival will be held rain or shine. Voting for MCC Governing Board members will begin at 10:30 a.m. Parking will not be allowed at Lewinsville Park on the day of the festival. Free shuttle buses will run from McLean Baptist Church, 1367 Chain Bridge Rd.; Trinity United Methodist Church, 1205 Dolley Madison Blvd.; and Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1545 Chain Bridge Rd. and will drop off passengers at the entrance to the park. Due to the renovation of its Ingleside Ave. facility, MCC will not run shuttles from that site.
