McLean Community Center Calendar of Events for November 2017

McLean, Va.—The McLean Community Center (MCC) offers the following activities in November. Residents of the Center’s tax district, Small District One A-Dranesville, are eligible for discounts on fees. The Center’s Ingleside Ave. facility is closed for renovation; the locations and addresses for these activities are included in the descriptions.

The Alden
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (PG-13) Quote-Along Movie
Friday, Nov. 3, 7 p.m.
Admission and popcorn are free. Optional prop bags are $5 each.
The Old Firehouse, 1440 Chain Bridge Rd.
In this James Bond spoof, a 1960s-era hipster secret agent is brought out of cryofreeze in the 1990s, where his social attitudes are sorely out of place. The movie was so popular that it spawned two sequels. Join The Alden staff for a fun evening of quoting and reliving the original and best.

Everyday Magic with the Amazing Max

Show for 5-7 year olds at 11 a.m.; Shows for 8-11 year olds at 1:30 and 4 p.m.

Massanutten Indoor Waterpark

Relive the summer with The Old Firehouse staff at Massanutten Indoor Waterpark. It will be a day filled with speedy water slides, lazy river floating and arcade games. Admission and arcade cards at Massanutten Waterpark are included in the fee.

Prepare to be blown away by this trip to iFly! iFly is an indoor sky diving, adrenaline rush activity that has you floating in mid-air. Following our dives, we will watch one of the newest movie releases at a nearby movie theater. Admission to iFly, lunch and movie tickets are included in the fee.

Spend a night watching not one, but two blockbuster features! Join the Old Firehouse as we head to AMC Tysons for two movies and dinner at the food court. Movie tickets are included in the fee.

Peggy is a small pirate with big dreams but has bigger pirates standing in her way. When a sea monster captures her friends, can Peggy find a way to save them? Due to an outpouring of community support for our youth productions, The Alden is launching its first-ever fall production for youth. These “studio-style” productions are sure to entertain the community and provide a professional-level theatre experience for our community’s young actors.
