Walking Along the C&O Canal with Carole (MCC)

McLean Historian Carole Herrick will take you on a walk from Riley’s Landing at Seneca Creek up the towpath to at least Antietam Creek. Besides discussing the canal, the various locks, lock houses and the Monocacy and Antietam aqueducts, she will talk about John Brown’s raid at Harper’s Ferry and the Civil War battles at Balls Bluff and Antietam. Presenter: Carole Herrick, Chair of the Fairfax History Commission and President of the McLean Historical Society.
