Music Together®, an internationally-recognized music and movement program, engages early childhood music development for infant, toddler and preschool children and their parents and other primary caregivers through mixed-aged classes. It pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally-appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement and, it's fun! The Music Together approach develops every child's birthright of basic music competence by encouraging the actual experiencing of music through playful activities rather than the learning of concepts or information about music. Instructor: Music Together® Staff.

The time has finally come to retire. But, now what? We are all told we should save for retirement, but no one ever talks to us about what to do once we get there. For example, how much money is safe to take from your accounts without the risk of running out of money? How will withdrawals affect your taxes? How much risk should you be taking in your portfolio given your age and need for income? Will your spouse be provided for when you are no longer alive? Which accounts should you take money from first in retirement? How do you know which investments you should sell when you want to take income? Does it matter? How does Social Security factor into your IRA withdrawal strategy? The answers to these questions (and many more) will be addressed in this informative seminar.

Back by popular demand! Join The Alden for a creative (and de-stressing) Friday evening master class for families. Participants will learn the elements of Djembe Drumming from artist Kofi Dennis and then use those skills in a group drum circle.

This class is designed for those eight and up, and it is recommended that families participate together. Children under 14 must have a parent register with them.

Students at all levels are welcome. Create a narrative series of mixed media painted and collaged works in this four-session workshop. Each art work will begin with forms found in nature. How you define nature is open to each student. We will be using acrylic, patterned papers and various drawing materials. Students will be encouraged to work in “layered” compositions with mixed media materials-finding their own narrative content through color, line, shape, and various textural elements. Contemporary art history will also be a source of inspiration for this class.
