This basic obedience course is for dogs over the age of six months who have no prior obedience training. Topics of instruction will include heeling on leash, come/recall command, down, sit and stay command. Situational training as related to real life situations will be encompassed in this training. Behavior related problem-solving methods will be addressed, as well. Classes will be held outdoors. Please do not bring your dog to the first class, it is only for pet "parents."

If you have never knitted before, or if you are an old hand, everyone is welcome in our virtual Knitting Circle. You will get instructions to learn how to knit, help with a knitting project you are working on or you can just join us to meet other knitters and socialize. Bring your own supplies, or a project in progress. Supplies Needed for Class: yarn; knitting needles size 8 or 9; crochet hook (roughly the same size as knitting needles); scissors; yarn or tapestry needle. Facilitator: Julie Thatcher.

This virtual workshop is geared towards assisting older adults and seniors who want to stay connected while social distancing.

An initial, optional class help students get set-up on MCC’s new virtual class platform (Zoom.us). The next two classes will help students utilize computers and tablets to order essential items online, like groceries, and stay socially connected during COVID-19, with video chatting and social media apps. Courses will begin with a presentation that explains the fundamentals, followed by personalized instruction. The instructor will patiently answer questions and provide students with a helpful digital booklet to practice at home. Intermediate Hip-Hop is designed for students with previous training. Dancers learn aspects of locking, popping, and breaking and incorporate them into exciting combinations. It is a fun and highly energetic dance form! You will learn the most current and up to date styles of this ever changing dance form from one the Washington's hottest choreographers.

10-14 years

Piloxing is a group exercise class that blends Pilates, boxing and dance. This is a high-energy interval workout that involves heart-pumping, powerful boxing combinations and sculpting and lengthening Pilates-influenced movements. In class, you wear weighted gloves to add extra resistance.
