For ages 3 to 8. Here's your family's chance to show off your pumpkin prowess! MCC will provide, for curbside pick-up, a small pumpkin and a decorating package with the supplies you need to decorate your pumpkin..
Challenge A: Use ONLY the supplies in the kit we provide
Challenge B: Use any supplies in the kit and/or add materials from your house/yard (ask Parents first)
We will notify everyone who registered by email when kits are ready for pick up.
Once you have created your masterpiece, please share your design with us on social media using the hashtag #MCCPumpkinChallenge. We will pick one submission per challenge at the end of October for a small prize.
Girls on the Run is coming to the McLean Community Center! Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in grades 3-6. The program teaches life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment, while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.
Our program has been adapted to ensure physical distancing and safety. In-person practices include safety, sanitizing, and physical distancing precautions.
Starting the week of September 28, the team will meet outside the MCC, twice a week for 8 weeks. The program culminates in a celebratory virtual 5K at the end of the season! The program fee is $140 and includes 16 lessons/practices, a t-shirt, water bottle, entry into the 5K, a 5K medal, and more.
Registration begins August 31 at www.gotrnova.org.

For families. Nothing says holiday cheer like decorating a gingerbread house with the family! We will provide, for curbside pick-up, a pre-built gingerbread house, a variety of traditional gingerbread house candy decorations, extra toppings, and plenty of frosting to create your one-of-a-kind gingerbread house. Please share your design with us on social media using the hashtag: #MCCGingerbreadHouse.
Note: Products may contain dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts and other allergens.
We will email everyone that registered when gingerbread houses and supplies are ready for curbside pick-up.

For families with children ages 2–8. Come join us and take a photo with Santa Claus in a contactless, outdoor environment with social distancing. Our photographer will take the photo and send it to your email address. Santa is in a giant, inflatable snow globe with a special appearance by Mrs. Claus. This event allows you to celebrate the holidays in a number of ways. You can take a photo with Santa, leave a letter for him in a special mailbox and donate a new, unwrapped toy to MCC's Toys for Tots campaign (optional).
