Bored? Want something fun and exciting to do this summer? MCC has the perfect solution for you. Join your friends, family, and community for MCC's Super Summer Scavenger Hunt! This exciting and free summer-long virtual event allows for you and your team to compete against others and win amazing prizes. This is the perfect event to stay local and have fun with your friends and family.
The Super Summer Scavenger Hunt is a game played on a smart phone in which players must complete 100 missions (or challenges) both indoors and outdoors from July 1 – August 17, 2020. Missions include answering questions, taking specific photos or video, finding a specific item, geocaching or completing specific tasks as given in a list provided by MCC. The scavenger hunt will take place in or around McLean.
Participants work in small teams of 4-10 players. Team captains must be 16 years old or older. The Super Summer Scavenger Hunt will have a maximum of 125 teams, so register early! Be one of the first 50 teams to sign up and get a Super Summer Scavenger Hunt Gift bag to make the hunt even more fun!
How to Play:
Step 1: Put together a team of 4 to 10 players.
Step 2: Designate a team captain. The team captain must be 16 years or older and register to play by clicking HERE. Only the team captain should register. Registration is open June 23 to August 3.
Step 3: The team captain will be contacted via email by our Game Master within 72 hours with further instructions for the team.
Step 4: Complete missions, score points and have a great time!
Gift Bags! The first 50 teams to register will recieve an exciting gift bag with items to help assist you with your missions.
About the Missions:
* There will be 100 total missions.
* Each mission is worth 400 to 1,000 points.
* Bonus points will be awarded for outstanidng submissions.
* Teams earning at least 30,000 points will be entered into a grand prize drawing.
* All teams are entered into a drawing for other great prizes.
* Must have a smart phone to participate.
* All ages are welcome; however, team captains must be age 16 or older.

Wine Down the Fall—A Wine Tasting Experience at Home
Sunday, Oct. 25, 5–6 p.m.
Free registration, registration is required and opens Monday, Aug. 3.
Participants must purchase wine separately. The first 30 registrants receive a Tasting Gift Bag.
Enjoy a true wine experience, one sip at a time, connecting wonderful wines and fellow wine lovers. Unique wines will be available to pre-purchase by registrants at Chain Bridge Cellars in McLean for this tasting. Selected wines are from regions and wineries, famous and under the radar—all with great stories to tell. For beginners and connoisseurs alike, this wine experience will not disappoint! A wine expert will lead this session and explore various aspects of the art of wine including terroir, production, grape varietals, structure, food/wine interaction, pairing and much more.

Founded in 1982, The McLean Holiday Art & Crafts Festival is a highly anticipated and much-beloved, juried show featuring arts and crafts made by regional artisans. These fine, handcrafted arts and crafts works include both established, high-quality, seasoned artisans as well as new artisans exhibiting innovative concepts. The show includes pottery, glass, jewelry, holiday decorations, mixed media, fashion accessories, wood, fine art, artisanal foods, soaps, skincare and more. See behind the scenes and watch how these artists create their masterpieces, and so much more. Help support the arts and buy from the artists directly.
Show management will be provided by the Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild (NVHG). Founded in 1972, the NVHG, a 501(c)3 non-profit community-based organization, is dedicated to helping artists and craftspeople exhibit and sell their work, promoting the development of arts and crafts in the community and supporting arts and crafts educational activities.
