All clubs meet from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Old Firehouse during the Fairfax County Public Schools' year. Clubs are drop-in programs and members are welcome to participate in any activity they choose.
The schedule for our first two weeks is as follows:
Monday, Aug. 26–Friday, August 30
Monday: Welcome Orientation
Review OFC rules.
Tuesday: ID Card Distribution
Each participant receives a picture ID to use for check-in and check-out at OFC.
Wednesday: Participant Assignments
Participants can sign up to be part of select responsibility groups for the school year, such as:
Club Assistants – Help staff set up and plan for club activities.
Orientation Committee – Help welcome new members to our After School Program.
Event Teams – Help staff prepare and decorate for events.
Thursday: Chalk Wall
Participants create a collage on our chalk wall.
Monday, Sept. 2–Friday, Sept. 6
Monday: Closed for Labor Day holiday.
Tuesday: Scavenger Hunt
Explore OFC to get to know our staff and facility better.
Wednesday: Minute to Win It!
Play games like Face the Cookie, Rapid Fire, Blown Away and Bucket Head.
OFC provides the ingredients and participants make their own treats.
Friday: Movie Day
We’ll have popcorn and a movie on our big screen.
