The Light Up McLean Holiday Decorating Competition is your opportunity to show off your home in all its holiday splendor! Think your holiday decorations are the best? Enter the competition and prove it! Your McLean neighbors will vote for the top two winners in the following categories:
• Best Overall: Features an exceptionally attractive, unique and complete design that utilizes space and resources well.
• Most Creative/Original: Features exceptional use of creative ideas and lots of originality is evident in the design.
• Best Holiday Theme: Features eye-catching decorations that clearly communicate a fully conceptualized theme.

The Old Firehouse staff invites the brave-hearted to join them on a haunted journey. We will search for ghosts, zombies and whatever creepy creatures might appear in the night. Admission to all attractions is included in the fee.

The Old Firehouse is transforming the inside of the center into the spookiest, scariest, walk-through experience in McLean. The House of Terror will be divided into two time slots:
• No Scares 5–7 p.m.: Participants can walk through the lighted path and view our actors and actresses with no jumps, scares or fears.
• All Scares 7:30–10 p.m.: The effects are on, the lights are off, and the actors and actresses are out of sight and ready to surprise.
Trunk or Treat
Saturday, Oct. 30, 6–9 p.m.
Free for kids of all ages; preregistration is not required.
If the House of Terror isn’t your thing, no worries! Outside, the OFC's Trunk or Treat will have some music, fun and themed vehicles with Halloween candy to share while supplies last.

This indoor facility is one of the most unique trampoline parks in the area and includes a ninja warrior course. With the opportunity for casual jumping, testing your bouncing dodgeball skills or testing your ninja abilities, this trip has something for everyone. We will get some lunch before watching one of the newest blockbuster movies. A signed waiver is required for participation. Lunch, movie tickets and admission are included in the cost. Appropriate exercise clothing is required. Bring money for additional snacks if desired.

Airsoft Tactical Arena has over 3600 square feet of space that is designed to challenge even the most experienced Airsofters and to supply enough fun for first-timers. This arena utilizes modular 8 feet wall designs that allow the course to be changed regularly. There are nine rooms and multiple starting points. The cost of safety gear and dinner is included.

Join your friends at the Old Firehouse for a night of cooking. We will visit Cookology, voted one of the best cooking programs for young cooks by Washington Family Magazine readers. Participants will learn some new skills in the kitchen and make some tasty food.

Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the world! Join the Old Firehouse on a trip to Uno’s at Union Station to learn how to make some of the best deep-dish pizza you will ever eat. After pizza making, we will relax and catch a movie at AMC. Feel free to bring money for concessions and snacks.
