The Light Up McLean Holiday Decorating Competition is your opportunity to show off your home in all its holiday splendor! Think your holiday decorations are the best? Enter the competition and prove it! Your McLean neighbors will vote for the top two winners in the following categories:

Best Overall: Features an exceptionally attractive, unique and complete design that utilizes space and resources well.
Most Creative/Original: Features exceptional use of creative ideas and lots of originality is evident in the design.
Best Holiday Theme: Features eye-catching decorations that clearly communicate a fully conceptualized theme.

Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the world! Join the Old Firehouse on a trip to Uno’s at Union Station to learn how to make some of the best deep-dish pizza you will ever eat. After pizza making, we will relax and catch a movie at AMC. Feel free to bring money for concessions and snacks.

Funland of Fairfax is the premiere family fun center in Virginia. Whether you want the high-thrill rides, go-karting or laser tag, or the more laid-back activities of bumper boats, mini golf or the arcade, Funland has something for everyone. Admission and lunch are included in the fee. Bring additional money for extra food and arcade tokens if desired.

Do you have a need for speed? Well grab your helmet and prepare to experience a thrill like no other at a state-of-the-art, indoor go-karting facility! We’ll make some pit stops throughout the day to refuel our stomachs with a filling lunch. The cost of lunch and races are included in the fee. A signed waiver is required for participation.

We are spending the day on the ice! Participants will be allowed to free skate during our visit. We will fuel up at a local eatery then head out to the ice rink.

Enter a chocolate utopia at Hershey’s Chocolate World as we create our own Hershey Bar, become official Hershey Palateers in the taste lab, explore the factory via trolley and try to solve the 4D Chocolate Mystery. Admission to all activities is included in the fee. Participants will travel by charter bus. We'll be spending the day conquering vertical challenges and having a blast! First, we'll participate in a training to ensure participants learn the rules of safety and maximize their fun. Summit Ropes is the #1 indoor ropes course in the US. The group will have lunch, then make its way to a local cinema to enjoy a newly-released movie.

 

Climbers must be a minimum of 4 feet 2 inches and can be no taller than 6 feet 5 inches. Current weight limit is no more than 285 pounds.
