Old Firehouse Teacher Work Day Trip

Prepare to be blown away! iFly is an indoor skydiving adrenaline rush activity that has you floating in midair. A signed waiver is required for participation. Following our flight, we will watch one the newest movie releases at a nearby movie theater. Admission to iFly, lunch and movie tickets are included in the fee. Bring additional money for movie concessions as desired.

We invite the bravehearted to join OFC staff on a haunted journey searching for ghosts, zombies and whatever creepy creatures might appear in the night. A signed waiver is required for participation. Admission and dinner are included in the fee. Bring additional money for snacks and souvenirs as desired.

5th and 6th Grader Party

The Old Firehouse 5th & 6th Grader Parties are themed and decorated accordingly. Partygoers can enjoy catered food and beverages, a DJ spinning the latest tunes, an open dance floor and a variety of other attractions and activities. Preregistration is recommended.

 

To volunteer: Parents who wish to volunteer for parties must submit an email request to Aaron Greene at oldfirehouse@mcleancenter.org. Please include your name, your child’s name and home address. Volunteer hours are 6:30–9:15 p.m. Each parent volunteer receives one free admission for his or her child. Volunteer spots are limited.

Calling all families of ghouls and goblins! Come join the Old Firehouse (in your best Halloween costumes) for a night of live music, games, food, contests and tons of candy!

Help Us and Have Fun! Families who wish to volunteer them- selves and their vehicles for Trunk or Treat can submit an email request to oldfirehouse@mcleancenter.org. Please include your name and your trunk theme and submit your request by Friday, Sept. 30. Volunteer hours are 4:30–10:30 p.m. Each family will receive candy to distribute to the trunk or treaters. Volunteer spots are limited.

Do you have what it takes to save you and your team? Can you escape the horror-themed room or will you surrender? OFC wants you to try your luck! A signed waiver is required for participation. Following the Escape Room, we will head to a local movie theater and see the latest Halloween-themed movie. Admission to the escape room, lunch and your movie ticket is provided in the fee. Bring additional money for concessions as desired.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, love snacks or want to get your hands dirty with some paint, come on down to the Old Firehouse for our Snack & Paint night. Led by a professional art teacher, you will be able to create your own masterpiece with your family while having tons of fun doing so. All materials and snacks are included in the fee. Adventure awaits us at the largest indoor ropes course in the U.S.! Join OFC as we visit Summit Ropes and test our agility throughout the challenging activities and obstacles it has to offer. The Light Up McLean Holiday Decorating Competition is your opportunity to show off your home in all its holiday splendor! Think your holiday decorations are the best? Enter the competition and prove it! Your McLean neighbors will vote for the top two winners in the following categories:

 

1. Best Overall: Features an exceptionally attractive, unique and complete design that utilizes space and resources well.
2. Most Creative/Original: Features exceptional use of creative ideas and lots of originality is evident in design.
3. Best Holiday Theme: Features eye-catching decorations that clearly communicate a fully conceptualized theme.

Families who register for the competition will receive a thank you gift from the Old Firehouse.
