Light Up McLean: Holiday House Decorating Contest

voting, which runs December 22, 2025-January 3, 2026.

The Light Up McLean Holiday Decorating Competition has a full slate and voting will run on December 22 through January 3! Families who registered will receive a thank you gift from the Old Firehouse. The prizes for the winners will be gift cards to local Downtown McLean restaurants and tickets to your choice of performance (excluding Napoleon Dynamite Meet & Greet) at The MCC's Alden Theatre!

Your McLean neighbors will vote for the winners in the following categories:

1. Best Overall: An exceptionally attractive, unique and complete design that utilizes space and resources well; Prize is a $150 gift card to a local Downtown McLean restaurant plus 4 Alden Theatre tickets!
2. Most Creative/Original: An exceptional use of creative ideas and lots of originality are evident in the design; Prize is a $100 gift card to a local Downtown McLean restaurant plus 2 Alden Theatre tickets!
3. Best Holiday Theme: Utilizes eye-catching decorations that clearly communicate a fully conceptualized theme; Prize is a $100 gift card to a local Downtown McLean restaurant plus 2 Alden Theatre tickets!
