Furia Flamenca: “Recordando la Alhambra”

$25/$20 students, seniors/$15 MCC district residents
For all ages. Local flamenco dance company, Furia Flamenca, ends its 2022-23 residency at The Alden with a program combining flamenco and Middle Eastern dance traditions. “Recordando La Alhambra” fuses the music and choreography of Middle Eastern culture—a contributing influence to the flamenco genre—with more traditional flamenco. An invited belly dance artist, Middle Eastern-fused flamenco choreographies and recalibrated popular Spanish classics with a Middle Eastern flare provide a side-by-side illustration of the similarities between these two bohemian art forms.
