
Parent and Child International Breads
In this fun, hands-on bread baking class, adult-child pairs will learn (or refresh their knowledge of) the basics of breadmaking, including techniques for measuring, proofing, mixing, kneading and baking. Recipes include a variety of popular and traditional yeast and quick breads from various cultures around the world. They will make the following breads and will also get to take some home with them to share and enjoy later: Irish Soda Crackers; Parāoa Parai (Maori frybread from New Zealand); Tapalapa (West African-style baguettes); and Japanese an pan (filled sweet rolls).
