Community Mural Paint Day @ OFC
Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025
Come and leave your mark on the McLean community and show off your artistic talent! MCC is seeking community members to help paint a new Community Mural on the exterior of the Old Firehouse Center. The mural was commissioned in celebration of MCC’s 50th Anniversary.
Designed by Artist Jeremy Jarvis, the mural was created with the input of local residents who participated in focus groups and provided community feedback on the initial designs. Now, we are asking residents to continue their contributions to the project, by assisting with the painting.
Sign up quickly as space is limited for this unique opportunity to leave a lasting mark on your community. Painters of all ages are welcome to join but parents must register themselves and their artists under age 13 and help guide them through the activity.
Don’t forget to also mark your calendar for the Old Firehouse Center’s 35th Anniversary Block Party on Saturday, Sept. 20, when MCC will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m. to officially present the mural to the McLean community.
Registration is free and enrollment is capped at 12 painters per session.
