Without Stage Lighting or Dialogue, Lightwire Theater Company Tells Classic Stories with Electroluminescent Technology and Music—See Them Present “The Ugly Duckling” at The Alden on April 12

McLean, Va.— Semi-finalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and winner of TruTV’s “Fake Off,” Lightwire Theater will bring its production of “The Ugly Duckling” to The Alden in McLean for a single performance at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 12. Tickets are $15 for the public, $12 for seniors and students and $10 for MCC district residents. The Alden is located in the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave.

Lightwire utilizes light, technology and music to tell captivating stories. It brings classic tales to the modern stage to create an unforgettable theatrical experience. Using cutting-edge puppetry, technology, music and dance, the beloved story of “The Ugly Duckling” will be told in complete darkness with light from electroluminescent wire defining the various characters. Their unique brand of storytelling uses only LED wire, larger-than-life puppets and a dramatic music score to convey deep meaning and theatrical excitement.

Based in New Orleans, Lightwire Theater continues to create and deliver innovative theatrical experiences to audiences worldwide including Hong Kong, Estonia, Canada, Belarus, China, Abu Dhabi, and as finalists on My TF1’s, “The Best: Le Meilleur Artiste” in Paris.

“...Spectacular—in every sense of the word.” — Sharon Osbourne, “America’s Got Talent”

“An eye-popping display of storytelling that’s like nothing else you’ve ever seen.” — Broadwayworld.com
