Young Actors Perform “The Many Disguises of Robin Hood” at The Alden in McLean March 16 and 17
McLean, Va.—Young Dranesville Small District 1-A actors will bring their talents to the stage in March to recreate a beloved tale of “the haves vs the have nots.” Produced by The Alden at the McLean Community Center, the 2024 Youth Spring Production is “The Many Disguises of Robin Hood” by Brian Guehring. The show will be presented at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17. Tickets are $10, $7 for seniors and students and $5 for MCC tax district residents. The Alden is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave.
In merry ol’ England, the townspeople are overtaxed and unfulfilled. Lucky for them, the mysterious outlaw, Robin Hood, is outsmarting the rich with clever disguises and returning their funds to the poor. Frustrated by these tricks, the sheriff, his daughter and the prince scheme to capture Robin Hood and maintain control of the taxes. Are Robin Hood and the band of outlaws ready for their riskiest deceit yet?
Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company, Inc. of Woodstock, Illinois, the spring show is The Alden’s only self-produced production of the year. The director, designers and production staff are all local theater professionals. The talented cast of McLean youth includes Catharine Carr, Lyrics Chen, Alexandra Closs, Katherine Polizzi, Aaron Saxe, Zoë Schall, Celeste Webb, Chelsea Webb, Charles Yu, Leah Yu and Noelle Yu.
