She’s recognized for her “quicksilver passagework” and “tender lyricism” (The Washington Post), yet not afraid to shout or swing her foot onto the piano. Francesca Hurst divides her playing between classical and contemporary music and has a special interest in women composers. She is passionate about connecting to audiences in a way that is beautifully suited to our stage. Hurst is on the music faculty at The Catholic University of America and the University of Virginia.
