GERD: Understanding Acid Reflux
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a chronic digestive condition affecting an estimated 20% of adults. GERD occurs when stomach acid or bile flows back into the esophagus, causing symptoms such as heartburn, regurgitation, chest pain and difficulty swallowing. This presentation will educate the community about GERD, help individuals recognize symptoms early and encourage appropriate treatment. Participants will also learn about lifestyle modifications and management options that can help reduce symptoms and improve quality
of life.
