It’s the late 1800s, an era of innovation. At the King’s palace in Honolulu, an 11-year-old boy accidentally strikes his guitar with a railroad bolt, creating a groundbreaking new sound. Hawaiian music—and American music—is forever changed. Based on a true story, this new musical follows the invention of the steel guitar from Hawai’i to vaudeville, blues, country, rock and roll, and beyond; while exploring the annexation of Hawai’i and the journeys of its people.
Runtime: Approx. 60 minutes
